About

I have over 15 years of experience working with individuals (adults and adolescents), couples and families. I am licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC# 78440). I started on this path in college where I majored in Psychology and later received a M.A. in Intercultural Studies and a M.A. in Clinical Counseling.

My approach to therapy is to provide a space where people feel safe and understood. From that foundation, I work collaboratively with my clients toward their goals which may include stress reduction, work or school functioning, treating anxiety or depression, processing past trauma, or improving relationships. My treatment approaches include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT).

My husband and I have been married for over 20 years and we have three children. I enjoy a good book, traveling to new destinations, and spending time with family and friends.
